Setup Alerts

Within RiskRecon you will need to configure the Alerts so that you will receive them always on time and where you need them. We will now focus on the alerts from the platform. You can also use the API of RiskRecon to feed the alerts into a different system, if you are interested in this please contact us for additional help.

Before you configure the alerts you will need to finish configure the Risk Policy.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Setup Alerts

There are two ways of going to the Alert Center, via the Dashboard and then Alerts or via "My Account" and then "Alert Center".

Within the Alert center you will be able to monitor, filter and scroll through all the issues that are shown according to the Risk Policy. In order to configure our Alerts first we need to go to the Alert Settings tab. Here we can configure Issue Alerts and Rating Based Alerting.

Alert Policy

Within the Alert Policy we can see how many criteria are monitored (we can change this with the Risk Policy). We can also change the way we receive alerts, via the Portal, via email or disable both.

Security Breach Events

Security Breach Events will give us only one option and that is the ability to receive alerts on any breach events that occur at the vendors/3rd parties via email. This not affect the breach event alerts as shown in the dashboard.

Overall Rating Policy

The overall rating policy will alert us on 4 categories, rating that has dropped or improved, or the threshold that has been crossed either high / low. Here we can also still configure if we want to receive the alerts via Email or via the Portal.

Security Domain Policy

Within the Security Domain Policy we can finetune when we receive alerts based on the security domain ratings. If for example a vendor/3rd party will drop one point, we will receive a alert via the portal and email as shown below:
